JOIN AN UNDERGRADUATE INITIATIVE TO BRIDGE THE CIVILIAN-MILITARY DIVIDE.
Wellesley College’s motto is not to be ministered unto, but to minister.
W-ALLIES's mission complements this motto, uniting future civilian and military leaders under their common goal of making a difference in the world. As a motivated group of future politicians, NGO directors, security analysts, and military leaders, we recognize the growing need to bridge the so-called "civ-mil" gap in order to most efficiently and effectively tackle complex 21st century problems. Working alongside other college students, Cadets, and Midshipmen, we analyze the threat landscape and prepare ourselves for our future careers through joint discussion, research, and training on issues relating to defense, government, war, and peace. Established at Wellesley College in 2014, our chapter meets weekly on Mondays 1800-1900 in Claflin Living Room. Special events include film screenings, visits from current military leaders, simulations, and conferences hosted by Tufts University, the Fletcher School at Tufts University, the U.S. Naval Academy, and the U.S. Military Academy. |
